cousin`s broken ribs

my cousin is 11 he is in 5th and he came home walking like an old man and when i asked him what hapend, he told me the whole story and it happend at recces and he landed hard in a siting position and he broke his hip, luckly he survived and he had to go to the EM so thats what happedn, pls give luck
